Basement Water Guard Project
Challenge
Customer called James directly due to an emergency in the basement. When James arrives suitcases and boxes were floating in about 4 to 5 inches of water. The ground water seeped into the lower basement and resulted into Hydrostatic pressure causing the flood. There was not a drainage system in the basement and no where for the water to go. The house was two story and built in the 1920s. It was a rental property as well. And needed to get taken care of immediately.
Solution
We presented the customer with a solution and it is as follows:
1. Slab demolition and excavation of basement perimeter 55-60, Haul demolition to roll off dumpster
2. Water Guard Engineered piping system, full trenches with weep holes for foundation wall 24"oc 60lf
3. Excavation of sump basin 2x2x2 and concrete overlay trenches 2500 psi broom finish 60lf
4. Sump basin Ultrasump installed with 1/3hp Zoheler sump system
5. Battery backup sump system with power inverter, deep cell battery and bilge pump.
6. Sump discharge line exit to driveway (away from structure) 50LF
7. Same day flood control, de-watering extraction and contents removal.
